Who are we?
United Against Glynchbrook is a coalition of local residents from across the Forest of Dean, opposed to the development of a 3,500-home new town, between the M50 and A147, called Glynchbrook.
We want to see new houses built, but they need to be sustainable and well-connected for those who need them.
A national charity warns that Glynchbrook will be an isolated, “corridor for traffic,” damaging the environment and leaving residents disconnected from everyday services.
We are asking the Council to reconsider whether Glynchbrook is the right option and explore whether alternative sites can deliver the connected, sustainable homes the Forest of Dean desperately needs.
Fundraising Events
United Against Glynchbrook have set up a GoFundMe campaign to fund legal and independent planning and specialist advice to review the draft Local Plan and consultation process as well as providing technical evidence base, which many residents have already generously contributed to.
